The signatory R. Mordecai Meyuchas (1738-1805), was the Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem and the son-in-law of R. Yom Tov Algazi (Mahrit Algazi) succeeding him as Chief Rabbi (Rishon Le-Tzion). The titles of all his works include the word "Mayim", the initials of his name
