Small popular work, extremely rare, the text of which is attributable to the Jewish community of Arles. “The Jews kept this [work] secret for a long time, but when they were chased out of the City of Arles, all their books and writings were seized, thrown into the streets and destroyed. In this way, this “Revelation” came to the attention of the Lords and Burghers of Arles and it was translated from Hebrew into French by a great Jewish astrologer named Samuel...” For another work with the same font, attributable to Chaussard, see Baudrier, Bibliographie Lyonnaise XI, 77. - The present work however, is entirely unknown to Baudrier - indeed no other copy as yet fond in any library throughout Europe and North America
