R. Meshulam Zushye was the son of R. Yitzchak Meir of Zinkov and grandson of R. Abraham Joshua Heschel, the Apter Rav. He published his grandfather’s work Ohev Yisrael in 1863 (see Lot ***). The family were said to have settled in Zinkov as the absence of non-Jewish houses of worship there resulted in a more spiritually refined enviroment.
