The topic under discussion is the sanctity of the Sabbath day. It appears a memorandum concerning cessation of activities on the Sabbath was to be presented to the British mandatory authority. Rabbi Kook suggests that it be pointed out to the Authorities that the specifically Jewish conception of the Sabbath differs from that of the non-Jews and extends to activities that would not occur to a non-Jew. Rabbi Kook states his agreement to the proposal and adds that he will garner the support of his close friend Rabbi Y[aakov] M[oshe] Harlap and of Rabbi S[hlomo] Aronsohn, Ashkenazic Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv
