Pinchos Grajewsky was a most prolific scholar of the history of Jerusalem. His research uncovered. and preserved historical documents, photographs, tombstones etc. He also interviewed many of the early settlers of the Yishuv in order to preserve their biographies, reminiscences and genealogy. The writings in the present lot run the gamut from transcriptions and translations of historical documents; personalities of the Yishuv (both Aschkenazic and Sephardic); the origin of institutions and organizations; women; converts; artisans, etc. An important source for the history of Jerusalem.
