Israel Rabinowitz, author of the "Divrei Chaim", son of R. Baruch Pinchas of Skolya was descended from Rabbis including the Baal Shem Tov. He settled in Kishinev, married the daughter of R. Mordechai Twersky of Turiysk and established a Yeshiva. In 1939 he emigrated to London, England. Following the War he noved to the United States and later the State of Israel. According to newspaper clippings present, prior to 1939 he was said to have over 20,000 followers.
