This work discusses the role Kabbalah should play in determining mainstream Halachic practice; a hot-button topic for centuries. As opposed to philosophy, seen by many as the polar opposite of the Zohar, Kabbalah is both esoteric and not for mass consumption while at the same time takes Halachic positions based upon mainstream practice. R. Yissachar Baer of Kremenetz (d. before 1648) was one of the first Aschkenazi Jews to compose Kabbalistic works in the early-modern era.
