Son of R. Ben-Tzion Yehuda Leib (1867-1951) Rebbe of Hornosteipel, and son-in-law of R. Ben-Tzion Halberstam (1874-1941) Rebbe of Bobov. He immigrated to the United States and in 1939 settled in Milwaukee, remaining a spiritual leader there until his death.
