Son of R. Mordechai Yosef, Admor of Zlatypol, and son-in-law of R. Yisrael, Admor of Chortkov. Lived with his illustrious father-in-law in Vienna, where he was appointed Admor of Zlatypol in 1929. In 1939 he moved to Eretz Israel and eventually led the Chassidic community of Chortkov. Wrote "HaTov VehTtachlith" and "Emunah Veda'ath."
