R. Emmanuel was a son of R. Avraham Moshe of Przedborz (1840-1918), a son-in-law (from his first marriage) to R. Yehoshua of Dzikov and (from his second marriage) to R. Aryeh Leib of Ozharov. He was a great-grandson of the Chozeh of Lublin (his grandfather R. Emmanuel, whom he was named for, was the son-in-law of R. Yisroel the son of the Chozeh). A son-in-law of R. Emmanuel was R.
