A scion of an illustrious lineage of prominent Tzadikim, R. Meshulam Zushye was the Admor of Loyev-Chernobyl. His father was R. Chaim Yitzchak Twersky (1886-1943) and his maternal great grandfather was the Divrei Chaim of Sanz (via his youngest son R. Yitzchak Yeshaya Halberstam of Chechiav). R. Meshulam Zushye was the first Rebbe of the Chernobyl Chasidic dynasty to relocate to Eretz Israel following the Holocaust. His sons are the current Rebbes of Chernobyl and his prominent son-in-law is R. Yisroel Hager, current Grand Rebbe of Vizhnitz-Bnei Braq. R. Shalom Yechezkel Shraga Rubin-Halberstam, the Chiechenover Rebbe, was the son of Rabbi Aryeh Leibish Rubin (1891-1942), the second Admor of Chiechenov. He was an administrator for Ezras Torah, the American fund for the support of Torah scholars abroad.
