Author of Karnei Re’em and To’afoth Re’em, R. Aharon Moshe Taubisch was Av Beth Din in Siniyatin from where he corresponded both with R. Mordechai Bannet and the Chasam Sofer. An outstanding rabbinic authority, many of his descendants filled rabbinic posts throughout Europe and later America. The letter relates that the Chazan had previously served in Botoshan but was forcibly removed due to opposition from the wealthy men of the town. He moved on to Zlotchov, however the community could not afford to provide a choir for him. A position has now opened in Lvov which would be “most suitable for his pleasant voice.”
