Halachic response as to whether a deaf woman (upon whom Chalitzah cannot be performed) may marry her brother-in-law by way of Yibum. Citing a rare work (Miflagei Reuven, Zolkiew 1775), the Rabbi rules it is permitted. One page, ex-library, adhesive on verso. 8vo.

The Gaon of Brezhan and brilliant Torah scholar, he responded to questions posed from around the world (including from the Chofetz Chaim), all which were later published in multiple volumes under the title Shailoth U’Teshuvoth Maharsham. He also authored many other renowned works including Da’ath Torah, Mishpat Shalom and Techeleth Mordechai. His grandson and namesake, was the celebrated "Maggid of Jerusalem.”
