An estate matter concerning a former resident of the rabbi’s town who had emigrated to America and changed his name to Abraham Goldberg. Two pages, taped tears. 4to.

Permits the brother to receives estate funds and convey it to the widow in Ostrow. The situation is also written in full in Polish on verso, and again signed (in Latin letters) by R. Plotzky, along with the signatures of family members. A disciple of the Avnei Nezer, R. Meir Dan was a foremost Torah scholar, particularly known for his work Klei Chemdah. In 1923 the Gerer Rebbe asked R. Meir Don to accompany the Chofetz Chaim from Radin to the first Knessiah Gedolah in Vienna. It was there, that R. Meir Don was elected a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah.
