Son of the Yenuka of Stolin (“The Frankfurter” 1868-1921), and son-in-law of R. Avrohom Yehoshua Heschel of Chernobyl - Tchidonov, he moved to the United States in 1923. He died childless and was buried in Detroit. Among Karlin Chassidim he is known as the Detroiter Rebbe.
