Report issued by the Vienna Kultusgemeinde for the American Joint Distribution Committee. Divided into five chapter-categories: Emigration, Retraining, Foreign Currencies, Social Care, Financial Treatment. Between 1938 and 1941, expenditures of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee for swift Austrian-Jewish emigration amounted to close to $2 million. The funds were administrated via the official Israelitische Kultusgemeinde Wien (IKG) – the only Jewish organization permitted by the Nazis to function following the Anschluss. This most professionally produced report was prepared for the Joint, providing important economic and human statistics. <<Scarce. Not in WorldCat.>>
