The Jewish Infantry Brigade Group, more commonly known as the Jewish Brigade, was a military formation of the British Army composed of Jews from Mandatory Palestine. The brigade was formed in late 1944 and its personnel fought the Germans in Italy. After the war, many assisted Holocaust survivors to emigrate (illegally) to Palestine. This album follows the journey of a platoon from the 200 Field Regiment as they travelby way of Germany, Czechoslovakia, Austria and France on their way to Belgium. Included in the album are images of the platoon visiting the Jewish refugees of Terezin and the destroyed city of Mannheim, Germany.
