<<Important work for the history of Minorities in the Holy Land.>> Account of a Franciscan Friar who was responsible for the administration and maintenance of properties in the Holy Land belonging to the Order of San Francisco. The author describes the state of the holy sites in Jerusalem and its surroundings, including the site of “Templo de Salomon,” Hebron, and many other places sacred to both Christians and to Jews. He also recounts the harassment and related difficulties that his fellow friars, other Christians, as well as Jews, encountered due to obstacles placed by the Ottoman ruling authorities. The introduction by Paolo da Zamora is interesting, with references to many other Holy Land written accounts.
