<<RARE, BIBLIOPHILIC EDITION PRINTED ON VELLUM.>> This treatise was written as a clear rejection of Maimonides’ negative Aristotelian view of sexuality. The author writes that far from shameful, marital intimacy can bring one to profound mystical experiences. While it is still uncertain who authored this text, it has been traditionally attributed to Nachmanides since R. Israel Elnekaveh attributed it to him in his mid-14th century work, Menorath HaMaor. See Treasures of the Valmadonna Trust Library - Otzroth Ya’akov, Vellum no. 45.
