<<Unique copy printed on vellum. Issued upon the orders of Baron David Günzburg.>> For many years, the novellae of R. Meshulam ben Moses of Beziers (1175-1250), focussing on Alfasi’s commentary to the Talmud, were unknown. Upon their discovery by the scholar Judah Lubetzki in the library of Baron David Günzburg, they were promptly published. The last two folios in this volume are culled from the regular non-vellum issue, apparently to contrast the luxuriousness of the fine vellum to that of regular paper. See Treasures of the Valmadonna Trust Library - Otzroth Ya’akov, Vellum no. 42.
