A handsome set, in an attractive contemporary vellum binding of the first edition of this grand publication by Dutch scholar Willem Goeree (1635-1711). An important study on Jewish (and surrounding) antiquities. Scenes of the charming copper engravings fold-outs include scenes of the Patriarch Jacob, the Ten Plagues, the Perigrination of the Jews in the Wilderness, the Tabernacle, and the Desert Encampment.
