Valuable sourcebook for the history of Frankfurt Jewry. Records the ritual customs distinct to the Community, as well as addresses liturgical questions and issues relating to education and morality. Also records the civil calendar and Gentile holidays. This copy contains two different versions of ff. 59-62, one in the order of the text and an alternate version bound in (before f. 210 and after f. 211). This alternate version contains a prayer attributed to Rabbeinu Tam and “copied from a manuscript of R. Eliezer Treves.” The first version contains several passages concerning the commandment to sacrifice one’s life as a martyr. With note from a previous owner indicating the differences. <<* With:>> Another (incomplete) copy. Previous owners’ inscriptions (dated 1800-13) indicating the work was studied on a daily basis.
