Based on (and a slightly smaller version of) the Nicholas Visscher map of Amsterdam, 1659, from the Atlases Contractus Orbis Terrarum (see Laor 793). The shore line runs from Sidon to Egypt. The Kishon River connects Haifa Bay to the Lake of Tiberias. Along the top, a garland is supported by six cherubs. At lower center, the encampment of the Tribes, flanked by Moses and Aaron and surrounding the Tabernacle.
