R. Asher Ginzberg (1754-1837) was the son of R. Aryeh Leib Ginzberg author of “Sha’agath Aryeh.” His responsa were published at the end of his father’s Sha’agath Aryeh HaChadashoth (Vilna, 1873). In 1785 he was appointed Rabbi of Wallerstein, he later served in Karlsruhe (see JE, Vol. VIII p. 191).
