Minsk: 1917

Est: $1,000 - $1,500
Capital of Belarus, the city of Minsk was one of the the largest and most important Jewish communities in Russia and became a center of Bundist and related leftist Jewish politics. Der Veker (“the alarm-clock”) was the Bund’s primary daily newspaper. Present in this lot are issues spanning the entire second half of 1917 - that is, the crucial six months leading up to, and immediately following, the Russian Communist Revolution.
