“Pisgah-Sight is one of the great books on the typography of the Holy Land” (Nebenzahl, Maps of the Holy Land, pp. 128-131). Thomas Fuller (1608-61) was an English scholar and preacher. He composed Pisgah-Sight, which abounds with a wry humor, during his exile from Cromwellian England. Fuller included maps of ancient Egypt and Lebanon, as well as views of the Tabernacle in the Desert, the priestly vestments and Temple vessels.
