(WORLD WAR II).

“This is Nazi Brutality.” Designed by Ben Shahn. Poster depicting a chained and hooded prisoner cornered under an ominous blue and gray sky. The lone prisoner is representative of the town of Lidice, Czechoslovakia which was destroyed by the Germans in retaliation for the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich. News of the massacre displayed in ticker-tape fashion behind. Linen-backed. 38 x 28 inches.
