The National Conference on Palestine took place on March 9, 1944 in Washington D.C. at the Statler Hotel, wherein influential American Christians rallied in support of Palestine as a national home and democratic commonwealth for the Jewish People. Speakers included Harvard University professor Carl J. Friedrich and future-New York City mayor Robert F. Wagner who attacked the British White Paper of 1939 as “Palestine’s Munich.”
