Attempts to inhibit the spread of the Plague that was seemingly running rampant in neighboring Poland. Decree specifying that no Polish beggar nor any Polish Jew is permitted to enter the territories of the Duke of Braunschweig under pain of severe punishment, including execution. Even such named persons with valid travel documents are not allowed into the country.
