Congratulations upon the completion of his work Moznaim LaTorah, along with New Year’s greetings and personal regards concerning family. Additionally R. Gifter writes: “Now that our friend Menachem Porush has been elected to the Knesset perhaps you can send another messenger from the Holy Land to raise funds for Chinuch Atzmai as Porush did before he was elected. Every penny is important.” One page aerogram.

The recipient of this letter, R. Zalman Sorotzkin, also known as the Lutzker Rav (1881–1966) was a son-in-law of the Telzer Rav and Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Eliezer Gordon. When the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah of the Agudath Israel was founded in Israel, he was appointed vice chairman. He was also the first director of Chinuch Atzmai.
