Rabbi Asher Feuchtwanger (1911-1978), was born in Frankfurt and studied in the great Talmudic Academies in Telz, Mir and Kamenitz. From Kamenitz he traveled to London, where he became a prominent disciple of Rabbi E.E. Dessler and in 1945 was appointed Rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva in Letchworth, the hometown of his father-in-law, David Suliman Sassoon. His scholarship is evident in his four volume commentary “Asher LaMelech” on Maimonides.
