R. Eliyahu Klatzkin was a child prodigy, multi-lingual, endowed with a photographic memory. As a Rabbi he was famed for his innovative solutions in relation to Agunah issues and published many works of responsa and homiletics. R. Klatzkin was also expertly versed in the sciences, his son, Jacob Klatzkin relates that he could recite by heart the chemical composition of every drug listed in the pharmacopoeia.
