R. Yechezkel of Ostrovtza was known as one of the greatest Rabbinical scholars among pre-war Chassidic Rebbes. R. Yechezkel succeeded his father, the saintly R. Meir Yechiel, as Rebbe in 1928. He and his family were murdered by the Nazis in 1942.
