First edition of Mendelssohn’s German translation of the Book of Psalms which was published the same year as his Bible translation. Mendelssohn had worked for more than ten years on the translation of the Psalms. The first edition was published in German characters and later in Hebrew type with a Hebrew commentary by Joel Löwe.
