Reports the gravity of the situation confronting Russian Jewry in the aftermath of the Russian Revolution, when Reds and Whites battled one another and Jews were caught - often savagely - in the middle. One of these linen-reports speaks of [Anton] Denikin, General of the White Army in the Russian Civil War (1918-1920) and atrocities committed by his forces against the Jews of Yekaterinoslav (Ukraine). There is also mention of Rabbi Mazeh (Chief Rabbi of Moscow). It is likely that linen was employed in order to better smuggle out this information to the outside world.
