Jewish soldiers from Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Palestine and Poland, they had come that night from far and wide, many from the fighting line itself, to celebrate Pesach, together with their Chaplain, the Rev. M. Berman. An unforgettable evening provided the accompanying photographs. They form a souvenir which will be treasured for all time by those who were present.”
