Zvi Milshtein was born in 1936 in Kishinev, Bessarabia (Moldovia). Immigrated to Israel in 1948 and studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. Won the 1956 America-Israel Cultural Foundation Award, for study in Paris; and the 1966 Laureat du Prix de la Critique. In 1970, Milshtein exhibited at the Musee de Moderne Artes (ARC) of Pari.
