R. Menachem Mendel Hager of Obervishiva the oldest son of R. Yisroel of Vishnitz, was known as the greatest scholar of the Vishnitzer dynasty. In 1922, he became Rabbi of Obervishiva, Rumania and there re-established the Yeshiva Beith Israel, originally founded in Vishnitz in 1903. After his father's death in 1936, he began to accept "Kvitttlach.”
