Contained in our manuscript is the response of the learned Rabbi Bonajuto (Azriel Pethachiah) Alatino (or Alatini) to the Jesuit Alfonso Caracciolo in the forced Ferrara Disputation of April 1617. This disputation was eventually published from manuscript by Giuseppe (Yoseph) Jare as Viku'ach al Nitzchiyuth HaTorah [“Disputation concerning the eternity of the Torah”] (Livorno, 1876). See JE, Vol. I, p. 317. David Zacut Modena who composed this later version of the manuscript was an Italian scholar of the 19th-century. See JE Vol. VIII p. 639
