Single printed leaf. An attestation by the British Consul in Smyrna (Izmir), that the entire Jewish Quarter of the city has been destroyed in fire pp. (2). 4to

A formal Consular Letter by British Consul Hayes, noting that after reviewing the excessive taxes levied upon the Jews of Smyrna by the Turkish Government to support the war against Russia, herewith testifies that the recent conflagration of the Jewish Quarter has now reduced the "Jew Nation" to poverty and thus he endorses the collection of funds for their benefit
