Official Announcement by the Ben-Gurion's Provisional Government Declaring the Establishment of the State of Israel.
The text covers the background leading up to the decision to declare Jewish statehood in Palestine and closes with the endorsement of a broad spectrum of 36 Zionist leaders. An essential point is the official renunciation of the notorious exclusionary White Paper of 1939 (see Lot 190) and an invitation to Jews across the globe for immediate immigration to Israel. Also included in this founding document is a call to the Arab inhabitants of Palestine to participate in the building of the State of Israel as equal citizens.
