This Hagadah includes Naphtali Herz Imber’s “Hatikvah," later to be adopted as the national anthem of the State of Israel, with an English translation by Henry Snowman. The text of the poem differs significantly from the modern Israeli version. The preface states,"The Hatikvah which, though but recently written, has touched the Jewish heart the world over."
