The earliest anti-Chassidic tract - not to be confused with another work by the same name written by the Maggid of Makow and also republished by Deinard. Carries details concerning the punishment meted out to the Chassidim by the followers of the Vilna Gaon. The identity of the author is unclear and attributions have ranged from R. Chaim of Volozhin to the Vina Gaon himself. Chassidim purchased all copies upon publication (1772) and destroyed them. Deinard's text is based upon a manuscript belonging to M. Landsberg of Brody whose preface here (pp. 5-11) also contains Maasei HaRav, a polemic agaist the Chozeh of Lublin. ; See Carmilly-Weinberger, Censorship and Freedom of Expression, pp.137-38; E.R. Malachi, Sepher Hayovel shel Hadoar (1952) pp. 286-300
