This edition includes the related opinion of a host of opponents to this decision including: R. Joseph Rosen of Dvinsk (the Rogatchover Gaon), his son-in-law R. Abba David Goldfein of Moscow, R. Isser Zalman Meltzer of Slutsk and R. Shlomo Yoseph Zevin of Novozipkov. Afterwards, other Rabbis joined the fray including R. Chaim Ozer Grodzienski, the Chofetz Chaim, R. Moshe Mordechai Epstein of Slabodka, etc. For a biography of Rabbi Yudelewitz (1850-1930), see Moshe Tzvi Berger in Yeshurun Vol. II, pp. 686-93.
