Album containing 48 original black-and-white photographs taken by an officer of the Photographic Section of the 100th Austro-Hungarian Infantry Regiment. Housed in original album, with neatly-written captions below each image Photographs, 13. 5 x 8. 5 cm.

Images of the town of Piotrków, featuring assorted street-scenes. Includes The Great Synagogue on Jerozolimska Street (built 1791-93) as well as the town’s Jewish Cemetery. Three decades after these photographs were taken, the Nazis entirely destroyed all Jewish life in Piotrków.
