Exceptionally unusual plaster-of-Paris craft-work depicting on right-hand side a gruesome tableaux of the horrors of a Nazi death-camp showing the brutalities of a “selection” and corpses alongside crematoria. At center: The S.S. Exodus carrying “illegal” immigrants steaming toward left-hand side: The Land of Israel hemmed by British-patrolled barrier and depiction of Cyprus detention-camp adjacent. Captions in Hebrew and English. Signed lower right, J. Shubert (likely a Holocaust survivor). 21 x 32 inches (including frame)
