"The object of the Palestine Government Industrial Exhibition may be summed up in a single phrase–to stimulate trade between the two countries. For some years prior to the war there was a definite diminution in this trade and it seemed to the Government of Palestine that this might be due, in part at least, to the fact that Egyptian importers and merchants were not fully aware of what Palestine is producing and can produce.
