Isaac D'Israeli (1766-1848) was the father of Benjamin D'Israeli (1804-1881), British Prime Minister during the reign of Queen Victoria. While the elder D'Israeli might have been estranged from Judaism, he never converted to Christianity, although he had his children baptized in 1817 following a dispute with the Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue of London.
