Friedlaender (c. 1860–c. 1923), published a number of works of doubtful authenticity or pure forgeries. Here, he claims to have discovered a number of early editions of the Talmud Yerushalmi containing extensive marginal notes of “famous Geonim - mostly Sephardic,” based upon which, Friedlaender edited the text.
