The author migrated to Safed in 1764 but returned to Poland within a year due to the protestations of his wife. Described in detail here are his travels through Jaffa, Safed, Acre and the surrounding areas of the northern parts of Eretz Israel. Accounts of other parts of the country were added from other travelogues, by the author’s son-in-law, Solomon Dubno, who apparently edited this book
